VERIFY. DOCUMENT. DEFEND
The score helps.
The story matters.
A status check may show a carrier is authorized to operate. FreightValidate goes much deeper. Our Detailed Analysis Report (DAR) uncovers the facts behind the record, including trends in out-of-service violations, affiliations, insurance history, registration changes, shared addresses, equipment connections, and other risk indicators. More importantly, it provides practical recommendations to help you verify the carrier, document your due diligence, and make a more informed decision.
If a carrier has a history of drivers placed out of service for English Language Proficiency violations, we'll recommend verifying that the driver assigned to your load is qualified and compliant. If we identify other concerns, we'll tell you what additional steps should be considered. FreightValidate doesn't make the decision for you. We provide the evidence, the recommendations, and the documentation so you can make the best decision for your business.

Features
What a Basic Status Check Can Miss.
A carrier or broker can look active while the record tells another story. FreightValidate examines the individual signals behind the status: identity, business filings, affiliations, insurance, and compliance, and assembles them so you can make the best decision for your business.
-
Screening in seconds
Enter an MC or DOT number and get an initial compliance screening immediately, a starting point for every carrier and broker before you commit.
-
Every signal surfaced individually
Pending revocations, undisclosed affiliations, filing irregularities, coverage gaps; each called out on its own, so you see the specific issue instead of a score that hides it.
-
Grounded in public record
Built from FMCSA data, Secretary of State filings, live insurance data, and third-party verification. No predictive scores, no guesswork; just what the record says, so you decide.
The complete story, not just a number
-
Current
Shows a Secretary of State filing only when an active record exists in the company's operating state and matches the business. An empty Current tab is itself a finding, before you read a single line.
-
Related & History
Prior filings, renames, and connected entities, exposing whether a company was reorganized, rebranded, or spun off from an authority that ran into trouble. The pattern a snapshot would miss.
Business verification: Current, Related, History
-
Real-time certificates
Live COI data through MeshVI, where available not a PDF emailed to you three months ago. Coverage is partial and expanding, and we tell you plainly when we don't have live data rather than showing you something stale.
-
Every truck on the policy
Coverage details for all vehicles under a company's policy, so the equipment arriving for your load is the equipment that's insured.
Insurance you can trust
-
Carriers, brokers, and shippers
Everyone who books, hauls, or tenders freight carries selection risk. Built for all three, and one of the few platforms that screens brokers, not just carriers.
-
US-focused, Canada welcome
Screening and verification center on US carriers and brokers. Canadian companies and firms can register as well.
-

Subscribers can call 904-NO-FRAUD and ask about a specific carrier or broker from their phone; no laptop, no login screen. For the decisions you make on a dock, not at a desk. Requires an active account and one-time setup.

Answers to Your Questions:
FAQ Hub.
What does FreightValidate actually do?
We help you screen carriers and brokers, uncover the complete story behind them, and document a defensible carrier selection decision. Screening is the first step; the initial compliance passes. The Detailed Analysis Report (DAR) is where the real work happens, and the documented record is what protects the decision later.
Do you decide whether a carrier is safe or approved?
No, and that distinction matters. FreightValidate performs an initial compliance screening and assembles the record. Applying your safety standards, insurance requirements, and risk tolerance; the formal vetting, and the selection decision itself; is yours. A Passed Initial Screening result is not a rating, endorsement, or approval. It means the entity cleared the initial screen and is ready for your vetting process.
What do the status indicators mean?
Passed Initial Screening (green): no apparent violations found in the records reviewed; ready to proceed to your vetting. Screening Recommended (yellow): one or more items warrant a closer look before you proceed. Violations Found (red): compliance concerns were identified that should be corrected or explained before vetting begins.
What's in a Detailed Analysis Report (DAR)?
Carrier or broker identity, DOT and docket details, compliance indicators, business verification findings, risk concerns, insurance history, affiliations, shared contact information, Secretary of State records, and recommended next steps. The screening tells you whether to keep looking; the report is the complete story and the document you keep on file. Reports are AI-assisted and informational; they identify what to verify and never make the selection decision for you.
How is FreightValidate different from other vetting companies?
Most tools give you a score built from subjective proxies, inspection counts, time with authority, and activity levels. A score tells you neither why a carrier is risky nor how to prove you did your homework. We surface the complete story from FMCSA records, Secretary of State filings, live insurance data, and third-party verification; each signal on its own; and package it into a report you can document and defend. We also screen brokers, not just carriers, and deliver insurance and compliance in a single lookup. Coverage centers on the United States; Canadian companies can register as well.
Can I just call and ask about a carrier?
Yes, 904-NO-FRAUD connects subscribers to the line. Ask about a specific carrier or broker from your phone; no portal required. It's a subscriber benefit with a one-time setup from your account.
Do you provide insurance data?
Yes. Through MeshVI, subscribers get real-time certificates of insurance where available, plus coverage details on every truck under a company's policy. Live coverage is partial and growing, and we're explicit about it; when we don't have real-time data, we say so rather than passing off a stale certificate as current.

Our Data Partners
A defensible record is only as strong as what it's built on. Every report compiles data from FMCSA (census, licensing & insurance, safety measurement, and roadside inspections), Secretary of State registration records, live insurance data through MeshVI where available, and third-party identity, phone, and address verification; assembled and analyzed so what you document is grounded in the record, not assumption.
